Position:Home>Philosophy> Research discovered that "Good marriage equals good blood pressure"?

Question:It seems odd that they had to do research to discover what intuition and experience would have told anyone. When a person is dating someone who isn't a good fit, blood pressure goes up whenever discontent, disapproval, or argument ensues. A person who dated would know to extrapolate that into marrige...right? I mean, no kidding!

Marriage is performance based viewed from many angles. One has to perform with his/her partner in day to day dealing, answering his querries, perfromance in love making, performance with other persons, male or female, in front of his partner without offending. We are sentimental and we get offended at a slightest pretext and we do not know when why or how and with what.
These unknown elements raise the blood pressure of the partner in day to day dealings.
If you tied to get a little nicer to a girl or a woman in a gathering, the wife or the girl frien may not like it and may his spouse's life miserable for this and vice versa.
Then at office you have to always make your lelationships very discreet which may seem very difficult.
Look at this you will find that a marriage or relationship will your blood pressure high what ever you may or may not do.

You'd think so. But almost 50% (the divorce rate) appearently don't. Many marry with the idea that they can "fix" the other person.

What if you aren't dating, aren't married or with someone???? I don't think you can say "good marriage = good blood pressure." That isn't always the case. My parents have high BP due to inherited, genetic things. Nothing to do with unhealthy life style, being over weight or unhappy in their marriage.

So those who oppose gay marriages are potential murderers. I knew I didn't like those religious people.

My wife and I get compliments on our blood pressure, then yelled at for smoking, coffee etc.

Research needs to prove that pains in the neck and @$$ will turn into a pain in the chest if left untreated.

I wouldn't be surprise and do believe that a good marriage it's people would have a lower blood pressure . I am married to an Indonesian woman who reminds me to stay calm and smile everyday and not to worry and take it a day at the time . I am very happy in my relationship and she is as well . We watch our diet and exercise as well we meditate and do consume very little alcohol . We share a lot time together .Good luck
