Question about a Question?

Question:I asked a genuine question about football in the football section and my question was withdrawn. I don't think this was right.

I why people see football as being so good. All I can see is a bunch of badly behaved men trying to get a ball over a line or between 2 bars. I'm sure it's fun to play but I don't know why people like watching it.

I also don't like the way people support a team of people that in most cases they don't even know. I don't understand why they wear team colours with advertisments all over them.

I don't know about other people, but I think the way that the players (not all) behave off field is socialy and moraly unacceptable.

I don't see the appeal, but so many people do. I want to know what is is that I am missing.

Human nature goes back to being tribal. All people - no matter what country or race had ancestors that were members of tribes and tribes fought bloody wars against one another. The winners destroyed all men, women, and children of the other tribe so they never reproduced. The winning tribe did reproduce and WE are their offspring that still maintain tribal instincts. Now our wars have less to do with fighting and more to do with a bunch of adult grown men wearing tight shiny clothing chasing a ball around a field together to see who the real man is patting each other on the *** each time one of their own scores.

(I know...it seems gay as hell to me too)

respect for what others believe or like. I don't really like football, have played it in my younger years have stopped playing basketball but like any sports, I watch and enjoy them in some cases.

well its simple, you don't like it and thats why you don't understand, doesn't mean those who like doing all this are not right, they like it so let thm do & enjoy.

Try asking this question to yourself about how would you feel if somebody asks you the same question in the same way some of your own liking?

you are certainly entitled to your opinion....I got reported the other day for responding to a q about how to help someone delete their spam folder and I helped them ....then got reported for "solicitation" [& I was helping the user to solve her problem with solicitation [??f?]...that being said, I just left a VERY bad forum called dizzay.com and there's very bad blood between me and those people...some who still use y/a....I think it might've been one of them with a vendetta that reported me....on the other hand, too, there are naughty adolescents who just go through and report people for "fun", so don't worry....just move on and have fun.

ok, i think you dont like the idea of rough encounters of some violence involved, but you dont see the challenge of how to get the ball to other bar, its a matter of viewpoint.
