Question:...Where you go back to when times are rough...

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: ...Where you go back to when times are rough...

My bed is the best refuge in such cases. In bed I can recharge myself.

I think that in such case you want to rest and need some solitude or personal space for reflecting and reorganizing yourself.

But sometimes I may do the reverse and do jogging or swimming or cycling to boost myself up and feel more energetic.

Jogging in particular is a great revitalizer because it increases the level of endorphins that is the hormone of happiness and well being. Naturally if you don't like sport you can have long walks in the open air.

All summed up I've two approaches to solve the problem that are opposite in nature but for me they work wonders.

If I can't do either of them a long warm shower never fails to pick me up a bit.

take a mental walk through memory lane.

anywhere you want

the time my husband and I were married and all the silly things he used to do to make me laugh...He passed away recently at the age of 24 and Ive had some bad moments, but I keep remembering all this silly stuff he used to do. he had such a wonderful since of humor.

Never, never land...

I always watch a Disney or Pixar movie with a cozy blanket.
It reminds me of being a kid, and I feel safe.

a deserted beach somewhere....

I put in music that makes me happy. Sometimes music I haven't listened to in a long time and it brings back happy memories.

in the future

carefree days, when chores & homework & stress didn't exist
=)

my mind doesn't have one, i just block out the entire world and focus on not feeling any emotions. it actually works, it's impossible for me to feel stressed about anything now. not even when i try to get stressed! it's like i forgot how to feel pressured.....

in the arms of my boyfriend =) or if he isn't there, i just imagine him and i'm happy again.

i'll tell you about my happy place, if you tell
me about yours! oh, that kind of happy place lol!

my mind is only relaxed one time a day, doesn't matter how ruff my day was or how stressed out I am, right after sex I don't think anything matters, then I wake up and my life starts again.

A place where you experienced the happiest emotions.
This place probably involves people who you love or a feeling of accomplishment or satisfaction. For me it is in bed, talking to a significant other.

Several places where I have gone fishing with my dogs and no one else is around. Another is being out in the middle of no where (I'm a truck driver) and seeing all the stars over head with out any kind of light to interfere with my view. I think of the trouble(s) I may be going thru and then think of the thousands of years it's taken this light to reach our planes and it's puts my problem(s) into perspective.
