I would say Intemperance in our soul.

We have appetite (wants, desires and passion) and our reason - these comprise our soul.

When we cannot strive for balance between what we want from what we can have given the standard norms of society about what is right or wrong, we create injury towards our fellowmen, to ourself, and to society as a whole (evil).

All evil starts from within ourselves, we can't blame people or circumstances because we have a freedom of will and decision. It's not what your fathers have given you/ done or what you have inherited from them; but what choices you made.

Intemperance in our soul breeds hate, anger, lusts, greed, wrath, and even lazyness - these destroy your will and purpose; affects your relationships with others and contribute to the "evil" in society.

Look at Mahatma Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, for all the discrimination and injustice that he together with the untouchables have suffered, they refuse to reciprocate with anger and hate he said:

"there are causes to which I'm prepared to die; but there is no cause where I'm prepared to kill."

1st u have to define evil. It's so subjective as to be meaningless. Hence the whole question is moot

Evil....I 've always thought evil was best described as the delight in selfish actions which involve the pain and suffering of others.

Evil can be defined many ways but the most common definition would be sadism combined with selfishness without remorse or guilt.

Evil is hate. An hate has greed as part of it self . So look to greed in all aspects .

Evil is kind of tricky and it can be very hard to define as well. Most people agree on what is largley considered evil, but evil is also seductive, inter personal and not necessairly mutualy specific.

The source of all evil is pride.

Source of evil = panic about things that seem both really bad and really challenging.
