'The world breaks everyone'.

I believe this quote is referring to both mind and the physicality. When people are born, pain and sorrow is inevitable. Although life have its ups and downs and some people born with special something positive in their life; wealth, health, intelligence, etc we cant escape the cunningness and elusive unfortunate surprises. I think this quote tells the reader that no one is standing at the better edge of life. And the equilibrium of life is absolute. This is just my explanation, quote is interpreted differently to all people. ;)

Thanks for asking.

Well...we all quit functioning eventually. Then we're dead.

or no one

the world doesn't break us, it makes us suitable for life.
