...it takes boundless energy and a curious mind to "go it alone"...and it's also a lonely journey...one can have a lot of "drive", but with out some give and take, it's not really moving forward, but marking time

As long as you can endure suffering for a goal it is the BEST way through life. A path to freedom, but not always security.

If you are not moving forward on your own initiative, then whose initiative? Unless you allow others to control who you are, what you do, and how you think, you cannot help but to move forward on your own initiative. Each person who is individual, independent, and secure has that "drive" as you call it. I would absolutely never allow someone else to make life choices for me. I really do not know anyone who has not made their own choices in life. Even those who allow others to dictate who, what, and how they live life are making a choice and choosing to allow another person or persons to be their initiative. Those who allow others to choose their ways in life are few and far between.

As a Sagittarius (the archer) I can always find a way to hit the target. But without a target, I'm lost. Being a landless peasant, the collapse of America is very discouraging, can't see any realistic way to get from where I am to where I want to be.

I have the initiative. But I have no plan. And hope is not a strategy.

I do believe that if you wanted to move your life forward, you must have your own initiative. In my case, i don't rely from other people for i do have my own initiative. I don't wait for others to think of it but on my own free will and volition, i do my part. Initiative is a very important character of a person. I see success in life when you have it. Otherwise you remain stagnant forever because you become a predator. By nature, we are not predators but rather we as human beings are endowed with reasons and therefore should be used at our advantage.

going forward isn't always the best direction,i turn off the intersections life throws at me sometimes i go left or right rarely reverse my life will thread it's course with or without any initiative from me,i go in the direction i want most times but detours can be fun sometimes.Initiative and drive are traits learned faster by some ignored by others.

Some are born with initiave.....they have no need to be told to do anything...some desire things and their desire drives them...some are driven by circumstance...forced to do ..at times all are influenced by forces out of the realm of their control .. chance happens to us alll.... 3 things? 1x2x3=6 different combo`s there? what an interesting world we live in....so many diverse individuals....all unique in a homogenized modern world

I really don't have much drive left, I use to when I was younger, had many dreams, but I have come to the point to give myself totally to Jesus and allow Him to move me along. I am willing, but that is all I have.
