Sorry if I'm nut's I just think alot and I know we could all do something to make us feel better about ourselves and bring people together!!!!! Is anybody with me?????? We don't have to expect anything from anyone, just the feeling that came out of helping someone else!!!

I think its very lovely to approach strangers and help them & communicate with them, etc.

Basically no one bothers to think about others. In our society, its all about us. Rather selfish, but today, society is too busy to even think about others. School, job, etc.

When i go outside, people seem really distant, people walking fast with cell phone, unfriendly waitress in cafee, and so on.

I think people should realize that the atmosphere is nothing like before, people are becoming more selfish and colder
day by day.

Thanks for asking.

The best thing to do is to feel out your classroom. Every class learns differently, so you really just need to be in the environment before you start applying methods that may not work so well for your students.

I substituted at a school in Manchester for a class of 3rd graders. What you need to know is that English students at that age are much more cognitively developed than American students. The UK system is so advanced and rougher on their students, so you have to be sure that you're teaching them and entertaining them at a level they won't get bored with.

My advice: Feel it out first.

i do that often its quite fun, u meet some interesting ppl and make ppl feel good. ur not nuts, its a really positive thing building a sense of communal trust. i think a lot too.

im with you

well many of us want to be loved and lovable and love giving, but it is not in the average humans comfort zone to go up to some random person and start exchanging identities and starting conversations. it is just human nature the world is a big place and many of the people in this world choose to be bad so try to be safe while starting a friendship with some random person.

Well, a good idea.... however, I have a small reservation here....... I don't think I can be comfortable accepting help from a total stranger, when in any case I feel shy to seek help even from people close to me...... thus trying to help a stranger out of the blue can often be counterproductive....... the stranger could imagine some non-existent motives.

This is a statement of a young hopeful mind. You have a good heart...but there is much inertia in the world. Go out and try.
