Why can't there be world peace?

Because since the creation of humanity, it's been instilled into our instinct to serve ourselves. And in today's society it's all about who has more... more money, cars, houses... etc. We as a whole have become greedy, and that entitles that people are going to fight against one another to get what they want. There will never be world peace.

Also, think about this... you know those PETA activists who protest the slaughter of cows? Well, slaughtering of animals is violence... which means it's the opposite of world peace. If we had complete world peace no one would survive because no one would have the materials needed to essentially survive.

I believe that hate crimes, racism, bigotry, and hatred are the causes that eliminate world peace. Sadly, world peace probably won't happen. If I am wrong, then that's wonderful because world peace is heaven.

For everyone that wants world peace, there is someone out there who doesn't. World peace is united peace, and if not everyone is or doesn't WANT to be at peace, than its more like 3/4ths world peace.
Also, not everyone has the same idea of "peace". Some things that are considered un-peaceful are needed for survival of the human race.

Because there are too many people vying for limited resources.

Because human beings never seem to learn that happiness does not come from possessing what others have who appear to be happy.

Because there are far too many differences between races, religions, cultures, ideologies. And too much pride or arrogance, too little tolerance, and lusting for power and wealth among several powerful nations. As Man seldom learns from mistakes, it is generally believe that there may come a time, whether in this century or next, when mankind will destroy itself with powerful weapons.

Because no one can mind their own freakin business! And think their views are the right ones...

There CAN be world peace..... all that has to happen is..... people must rid themselves of any conflict of violence and agree to be peaceful and love one another, it may be hard to accomplish..... nearly impossible i might add, but it CAN still happen (my prediction is during the 2nd comming, reign of CHRIST!, sometime after Armaggedeon!

a little deeper down in the thought process, i'll tell you that people are too greedy & ignorant to completely get along!
