Everything, everywhere has only the meaning you give it.

Of course it matters, but WHAT you choose to do is another story. You have to decide if it has any real purpose or value in the grand scheme of things.

People have always had to struggle in one way shape or form. You have to do certain things to survive whether you want to or not. Everyone has to make sacrifices or compromises, however you want to look at it. What counts is what you DO have a choice over and what you do with that notion/time.

Nothing matters.
No-thing.
The reason we are here is to not only "know" everything we are ever going to know, (which by the way we do...we just forgot...) We are here to EXPERIENCE it. That is the point. We can have actural "EXPERIENCES" in our physical body.

From the moment you wake up, you go on your life. You wash your face, you go on your BMW or put on your ragged dirty shoes and do what you did yesterday with maybe a slight altercation. You are doing what you think you are doing. And yes it does seem like everything is just pointless. Why do u live? I mean is there a GOOD reason? Why are you still holding on to it? You might just slip or even worse the thing you're holding on to might be just a daydream crap. You turn on tv, it show exactly how pointless it is. Go out to the streets, with kids selling drugs to live another day. Hey you want to achieve something? Well someone else already has or will and it won't matter the next minute. You think you are "happy"? You read book , you learn, you get smart, you are "successful" but what do really you find? Is what we are doing really WORTH anything. (Sadly, if you really get yourself that question, it's not so good) One day it's that next day it's not. You think you have friends, well **** friends. Thousands of millions of people WORSHIP "GOD". I mean just what is that? the whole religion. We are just flock of disciples bowing our heads to GOD, a being that is so GREAT that he can doom us all? If yes and we are just barbie dolls who think getting A, having a good time with friends, having a "good life" is important...
Well the answer is : we do it for ourselves. If we don't hold onto something, if we don't worry about something, or do anything, we might go insane. To keep us from realising how pointless life might be, we keep us busy by trying to live. So anyway, you are not wrong. It is pointless. You try to see the reason which leads to realising how EMPTY it all is. Just another play of barbie dolls and ken. But the maybe the only thing that could possibly matter is : the time spent on trying to find the reason. Which is doing stuff, wash your face, read a book, following your dream. On the symmary of the reason, all these are all pointless but if the life is pointless the thing that comes near to having a bit point is running towards the point: living your life. Just trying take your mind off the reason.
Going up to reach the rainbow only to catch hold of nothing might BE the thing that matters in anywhere in this world...

The concept of "matters" or "importance" is a relative term. No, nothing REALLY matters, as in has inherent importance. To be important is to be important to something or someone. Rain is important to crops. Sleep is important to cats. My wife is important to me. We each choose what matters to us and while there are some inherent aspects of humanity that govern those choices, there is nothing inherent about what we find important in itself.

"You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life." -- Albert Camus

Only to those believing there's a meaning to their existence.

It does matter because people are always making discovery's and the people who are not are supporting the ones making the discovery's and pushing humanity forward, Take a Einsteins parents who did particularly important BUT they were the parents of Einstein and if they had not existed Einstein would not have existed either.

Everyone has a purpose and it could be as grand as pushing humanity forward small as raising children or just making others happy by giving them their love

Since everyone's perspective of people and the world are different, you will get a different answer from everyone. It may mean nothing to you, but everything to someone else. It's all relative.

Peace

yes that one thing matters at one time.. not in yesterday not in the future. but in the moment of present.. there is alwayz something happening and every little thing of that matters right at that moment, at that second!

All you have to realise is that there at least was a rainbow somebody could try to reach...

Sure things matter - it matters that we're not in pain and that our loved ones are ok, and that we earn money - all kinds of things matter - to US. Will the universe quake if you or I die or do anything, for that matter? Probably not - but we can make a big difference in the lives of those who love us.
