You should earn as much money as you are able to in your field of occupation. You may have to start at a lower salary but the more experience you have the more you will earn.

As long as it is earned honestly, you are on the right track.

My mother (I am a grandma now) taught me that our motto of life while living on this planet is "character above all".

This motto has always helped me throughout my life. When a person has character, we not only earn respect, self esteem, good feelings with our family, friends, co-workers, and acquaintances we succeed on going up the ladder in every direction in life we choose to take. Be it financially, or succeeding in whatever we desire to accomplish.

You should earn what ever your job pays you... depends on the job and how many hours you put in.

ADDED how come every reply has a thumbs down? who is giving them all? And more to the point, why? Seems to me the reply's are perfectly adequate. Why ask a question then thumbs down every reply? What reply did you expect?

we should each live on a dollar a day but a dollar should be able to buy 3 meals and pay for a days rent in this imaginary world. Our motto shall be: "Up yours"

Enough to be able to travel with your family once a year.

As much which is sufficient to live in society with respect and where we feel we are at peace as far as our own individuality and soul is concerned----and for your next part of question its really subtle----the purpose or motto of life is purification----rectification---evolutio... after death ------ its like a school where we learn to learn more till we merge with the highest spirit or energy or vibration what we simply call GOD.

We should earn all of the money we are paid. Some folks get money without earning it. Bad managers and CEOs get bonuses without deserving them while others get ripped off on their hard work or great ideas. We have heard the motto in advertisements: You don't get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate. Bummer for the hard working illiterates.

The other day, a spiritual friend of mine, was telling me that he does not know the details of the salary paid to him. He said that he and his wife are content with whatever they get as salary from the office. They never hanker after more money. If you cut down your needs, whatever you earn should be adequate. It is difficult to satisfy a person who goes on increasing his needs.

i believe it would be a wonderful world if we all made enough for a roof over our heads,3 meals a day and clothes to cover our bodies.but as yet, the world has not got to that position.
we are a greedy society.some have so much and some have so little.
We are our brothers keeper,if you are lucky enough to have more than the essentials of life,--- give back.
You won't miss it, and will feel better about yourself.

Nowadays? Since business will not thrive to majority, earn only up to your daily sustenance. Our motto: Be contended in what you have.
