Pushing a 20 ft. length of chain would be more difficult

yes- pulling your burdens around with you

which is why I love the Lord for taking away my burdens so I don't have to pull them around

Pushing it...

You have not been married have you?

otherwise you would not have even asked about the so called "ball and chain" that even goes around the world. Picture that link of a chain Hah, 20 feet is for pipsqueaks. lol.

yes,being guilty.

Sure -- pulling a 21 ft. length of chair.

Congratulations on your 45 year marriage. You have gained great wisdom.

Yes, it is better to teach someone how to think or how to plant, than to do it for them.

For your chain, I'd hook it in the bed of a truck on one of those holders that rolls it for you. Then start the generator that caused the holder to rotate it into the truck bed. Probably someone would have to be there in order to keep it going on the holder neatly.

Sorry for this but I can not resist. 30 ft length of chain

Why not try pushing a 10 foot length of chain and then ask yourself that question again.

2 10ft lengths of chain...and I really hate trying to carry each link seperately when it breaks.

No, but undo the links and try it one link at a time. The road ahead will be easier.

I guess it depends on what's on the other end of the chain.
The chain itself can't be the real issue here can it?
Sorry...I don't think I understand the question.

(shrugs shoulders....drops chain....wanders away)
:))

Is it a 20 ft length of 24 kt gold chain that would weigh less than an ounce? Is it the sort of chain that might hold an ocean-going vessel to a dock?

How long would one be pulling the chain. How far must one pull the chain?

I think having to make a life and death decision - as my family faced when my father was dying and we had to decide whether to prolong his life and possibly increase his suffering or decline surgery that might or might not have prolonged his life - would be more difficult. Such decision would be even more difficult had it been someone very young. My mother's conscience was tortured for a very long time afterwards although we all (including the doctors) felt we had honored my father's living will and that we had done the humane thing.

I think disappointing those you truly love through the commission of some horrible deed would probably be more difficult.

Indeed, there are probably a great many things more difficult than pulling a 20 ft length of chain. However, I have never pulled such a chain. Do you think Sisyphus's eternity of pushing a giant boulder up a hill would have been more difficult than pulling the chain? It's hard to say without more specifics.
