I totally agree with it.
In fact I always try to achieve contentment in life I do not have religion myself. The only circunstances I acknowledge religion is that it's no more than a branch of philosophy.

I agree and don't agree... Doing anything without god is bad. not doing anything without anyone is also bad.

I think that the implication that a person of faith isn't healthy or mature is terribly narrow. It says that the only way to be healthy and mature is to imitate him. A tad egotistical I think.

Even though i studied anthropology, psychology and expertise in biblical studies...i still need my archetypes once in a while for my inner harmony.....i agree with your statement in general

I agree with it..that's not to say I think people who've got a lot of faith are solely dependent on their faith. I just think if you can stand alone and face your problems without blaming it on somebody else, you're pretty strong.

Also, religious people tend to believe that everything happens for a reason...but that's not always true. I've got faith in a lot of aspects of my life, and I believe in a god, but I don't depend on that god for all of my answers.

And I certainly don't need the help of a religion to face my problems.

Content is a open word for thought. To be full and to be content are not quite the same.

Agree 100%
If God gave us brains to think/rationalise - why should he or she then have hidden himself or herself in the clouds - making it so difficult to believe what the teachers & preachers (of quite contradictory faiths) claim to be THE absolute 'truth' ?

Hope for divine intervention can be a sign of hopelessness or lack of self-worth. Need for social support may also be considered a reason for joining a group of any kind (including a religion)
However, the search for meaning has nothing to do with being content in the sense he means.
Frustrated attempts to understand life also make divinity an easy explanation to quench the pains of doubt.
Freud is short on his explanation...

It is my personal belief that one cannot be truly healthy, mature or content without God. I realize that statement will upset some people, but I'm only answering the question with my personal opinion on the subject.

I don't! Freud was a Cocaine Head!
