Is it hard to self learn the violin?

Question: Is it hard to self learn the violin!?

in 6th grade i was in a orchestra class learning how to play the violin, after that year we moved and i found out that my new school did not teach that!.!.!.i really miss playing the violin and i was wondering if it would be hard to teach myself, and how to do it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes very, but millions of people do it so its not impossible!. Self teaching is definitely the long way to go about it!. If you can afford it it would really help to get some lessons!. A few lessons will help you to avoid learning or continuing bad techniques, and will make the whole process a lot quicker for you!.

If you cant get lessons!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. then its just practise practise practise!. You sound like you really enjoy it so that in itself will help you to succeed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

-- your time is your life and your life is your time-- sure you could learn by yourself but your break throughs and learning plateaus would be nothing compared to what you would see if your mother and father played violin in the symphony orchestra and both taught music!. --- if I were you I would take the time you were going to invest in the violin and apply it so something else which could promise more returns in life!. I am telling you this because I played oboe , clarinet and bass clarinet!. at home I would play and practise by myself about five hours a day because I was really into it but with no lessons!. ( mistake ) because you just play easy stuff and stay at one level!. On finding out there are no oboes in rock bands, I have since come to regret not playing piano, drums or guitar!. instead!. think about it if you were to practise violin for two hours a day or ctudy computers two hours a day!. if you became hooked to the hobby which one do you think would give you more money!. == just my opinionWww@QuestionHome@Com

if you have a year of violin under your belt, then i think you can do it!. it is more difficult, but you can watch youtube videos to make sure your playing it right and print off sheet music to play!. (i assume you can read sheet music!.) good luck anywayWww@QuestionHome@Com

it depends!.!.!. if you get a lot of book and resources and look lots of info up online, you should be good!.!. the most important thing, is posture and notes!.!. i play the violin so you can trust me to give you good advice!! :) so get lots resources !!!! :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

There are many books you can get to teach yourself the violin!. As long as you want to do it, and you practice at it, it won't be hard!. Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
