I just started guitar myself, and I work my butt off everyday also! I thought I'd NEVER get a single song right!. But I just kept going and going!. I practice at night then when I wake up I think of what I have to do then try it again, and 8 times out of 10 I get it right in the first try!. Then once you can play a song you get so excited and it gives you the determination to play another! It's like a drug I know!. My friend is teaching me some cool tricks!. Youtube has some tips on there!. I think of an easy song to play!.!. then get on ultimate-guitar!.com adn type that song in and it will show me the tabs for it!. Reading Tabs is easy!. It has how to read them on there too!. Check it out and keep strumming my friend!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

WellI don't have any tips!.!. But really, I would be careful!. There's a LOT of kids your age that think exactly what you're thinking- that they love music sooo much and want to make it their whole lives!.!. But you're going to realize, once you actually start working with other musicians (I'm rather sure you've never actually worked with any real musicians yet, no one in your situation ever does!.!.), that it's a lot different from what you think it is!. I'm sure you think I'm just being mean, or that's everyone else, you're special, but really!.!. Sounds like you're nothing different from that rule!. Work with some actual musicans, guitar teachers and such, and see if you're actually serious about it!. If you are, well, then, yeah, you probably do have a chance of doing something or another with music!. Couldn't possibly tell you what, though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you have a chance!. But you have to have determination!. and since you express that you obviously have that, it could happen!. I too, play guitar!. I started about 6 months ago!. and I've loved it!. Sure I get really frustrated because certain things are really difficult but if you want something enough, you keep it going!.
I think you'll be fine!. Just make sure you really want it and if you do, keep it in mind when you continue to try and achieve that goal(:Www@QuestionHome@Com

if you want a chance in the music industry you have to be better then everyone else in it!. its a very hard thing to do but not impossibleWww@QuestionHome@Com

i dont see why note!. the guitarists for every "metal" band thats popular today are terrible (fall out boy, my chemical failure) and most of the guitarists for popular rock bands!.

so you should be able to better than them fast :PWww@QuestionHome@Com

Catatonicc, you're at the best age to begin playing the guitar!. You should be mature enough to establish good practicing regimens and know that the world of music is out there for you--provided you're willing to progress into music theory and master more than a simple 15-chord repertoire!.

If you cannot afford a guitar teacher for now at your local music store, buy a manual that has chords, tuning instructions, and basic music theory with exercises to work!. Such a book is Hal Leonard's Beginning Guitar Method #1!. If you believe that learning how to read music is difficult you're wrong!. Get the book, focus strong on the lessons, and practice diligently the exercises!.

I first learned to play 52 years ago by using a guitar chord manual and the 11 chords a friend had drawn on a sheet of paper for me!. In high school I took a year of Vocal which taught me how to read and write music notation!. That was the changing point in my musical career!. From that one year of Vocal I eventually began to write Country, Spanish, Blues, and Flamenco music!.

If you truly want to learn to play the guitar then you can do it provided you move past the whining and complaining part!. Put some positive thinking in your skull and you will soon see positive results from your practice sessions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
