Question: Playing bass with school band(pep band)!?
Alright, ive had a bass guitar for about 2 months, and im still learning!. Im gonna learn to read music so I can play with my pep band (includes percussion, flutes, sax, everything youd see in a normal band!.)
Is there anything i should know about playing with this many other instruments!?

You have the bass line, you are the next important time keeper beyond the drums!. Keep in time with your director and you will be fine!.

also EQ your amp so it trims the low end and boosts the mid and upper end!. The acoustics of gyms (if a basketball band) are horrible for low end boom!.

If its outside, go for a flatter EQ!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is MY opinion, and I'm sure I'll get a lot of "thumbs down" for this, but bass guitar has NO PLACE in a pep band; College, high school, or otherwise!Www@QuestionHome@Com
