The answer is 1/2 step!.

at the 12th fret you will be an octave above the open string!.

Well, I'm supposing this means for half steps only!? In which case the note gets sharper as you ascend, i!.e!. F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
