Ah yes, the common nervous problem!. The first and second answers don't help much, believe me, I've tried every one in the book!. The only ones that seemed to work are the following:

1)Meditating!. Try sitting in a room alone, close your eyes, breath, and go into deep thought (This is what many famous musicians do nowadays)!. Make yourself feel like it's nothing!.

2)Go crazy!. Scream, jump around, run around, to a point where you have a lot of adrenaline pumping through you!.

There are many other things that work, but are not appropriate to say here!. But those two are good enough!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First off, remember to breathe!. I'm friends with this girl who passes out from breathing too quickly whenever she does an audition or speech!.

also, just remember that everything will be O!.K!. and that everyone will love your performance!.!.!.forget about the people, just pretend that you're being inspired to play beautifully by your favorite band!.!.!.or whatever!.

What I do before I have to do a speech or audition or anything else in that category, is I go in front of my friends and family, people whom I comfortable with and I play for them, just until I get over the stage fright thing!.!.!.then it becomes pretty natural playing on stage after awhile!.!.!.trust me, you'll do awesome!. :D

imagine that you are alone performing in your room and inspired, forget the idea that the people watching are better than you just say to yourself if they were in your place they would be nervous too, but that if you are them you would be able to admire the performer if he was able to overcome this simple task of ignoring shyness and nervousness!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Practice playing for other people!. start with good friends or family members, then move on to someone who will be more critical (in a good way) like a music teacher or another musician!.

Visualize yourself doing well!. and take deep breaths!. Good luck and don't let your nerves get to youWww@QuestionHome@Com

imagine everyone in there underwear, just kidding that never worked for me!.

perform with your eyes closed or keep your eyes on your notes and pretend your playing for no one as if you are practicingWww@QuestionHome@Com
