If you want to learn guitar, I agree with Left T!.
Get a cheap starter guitar that doesn't cost a lot!. It would help to get a few lessons from a human being to start before trying online stuff, but there are a TON of video lessons for beginning guitar players online!. Just google "guitar lessons"!.

As to a cheap guitar,

Try these guys out!. They are in Canada, so the US dollar goes a bit farther, and the guitars are very inexpensive!.
Get a full size model!. not a short scale guitar!.
A nylon stringed "classical" guitar is the easiest guitar to learn on!.
There are two or three on that site for a low amount of cash that would probably work just fine for a beginner!.
Steel stringed acoustics are a little tougher to start out on, because of the strings and the neck is a little smaller!. Steel strings will be painful at first to play!. Nylon strings are softer and larger so it's easier to learn your chords and how to press the strings properly!.

But the basics of playing are the same for all types of guitars!.

Frustration levels might be worse if you try to learn all by yourself, with no lessons by a person who can show you the right way to do stuff at first!. But if you have the "knack" for playing it might not be bad!.
Check out a few of the beginning video lessons on youtube or something and see what you think before you buy a guitar!.

Music is a way cool thing to know how to do!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hey G

If you are not too sure, get a low-priced acoustic guitar!. As to the frustration part, their is not that much when you learn guitar!.
You have to practice on a daily bais , at least 20 min!. a day!. The guitar is not that hard of an instrument if you put your heart into it!.
Hey, you have nothing to lose!. Get a $50 guitar and if you see a potential to learn and love the insturment, then invest in a good one!. The one I look at it, even if you spend $500, you are not going to play any better because you are just starting!.

Good Luck Dude !!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
