Question: Pianists and keyboarists, what do you think about the other instrument!?
When I was younger I thought "Piano, keyboard, same thing!." but ever since discovering the pedals and the sensitive touch on a piano!.!.!. I don't know -- I've loved it more!. Maybe it's because I have a really bad keyboard at home (not piano) and I've been taking piano lessons all my life!.

My keyboard is about 10 years (more or less) years old!. If not, then at least 5!. And even when we bought it, it wasn't state of the art technology!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

The piano is much better in my opinion!. Keyboards are ok, but they just don't have the rich, beautiful sound that a piano has!. Especially a grand piano!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like the piano better, because its the natural instrument!. But in some cases the piano is too big to fit in the house and a keyboard is handier!.

I myself have 2 keyboards, one i keep in my room and one stays downstairs!. They are a lot more portable and great to practice on, but I still love the piano better, the sound is more whole and to me its just a more musical instrumentWww@QuestionHome@Com

my mom had a really nice Thomas full concert style organ when I was growing up, full bass pedals, Moog, 3 tier, bad boy! you haven't played anything till you played that! but it took up to much room and started having problems so we had to dump it, being the good son that I am , plus I was the one that probably beat it up! she now has a nice little Roland exp 5 arranger and she's happy as can be!.but then again she's 75 and I play Guitar!. but I do know my way around a keyboardWww@QuestionHome@Com

Depends on what you need the instrument for!. If you want to play in a funk band, then you should choose a small but tone-range diverse keyboard!. If you want to play Beethoven Sonatas, then definitely go for a piano!.

best luck Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like both, considering that I play both!.
I took piano lessons when I was younger, and then I started playing keyboard!. Now I play the "keytar" in a band!.
So I have no problem with either :]Www@QuestionHome@Com
