Fingering is exactly the same, the embouchure tends to be a bit tighter, but basically the same!. Since there is not much music written for soprano, you may need to learn to read bass clef!. i played soprano for a year (after playing alto for three) and learned to read bass clef and played the clarinet part on the soprano sax in several concerts!. Fingering is the same, embouchure is a little bit tighter because of the higher range though!. I've gotta agree with the previous commenter though, many arrangements have soprano sax parts!. If you're dead set on it, you'll end up playing a clarinet part, so be prepared!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

just cirious why do you want to switch!. very few pieces use or even have a soprano sax part!. why not switch to tenor or bari!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
