Do acoustic guitars and electric guitars have the same frets!? i was wondering if they have the same notes and same fingerings!. A lot of people who play guitar have electric acoustic , so I was just wondering!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the answer is yes, the fretting is the same on both electric and acoustic!. the difference is that there are more frets available typically on electric guitars because of the way they are built!. more modern acoustic guitars take advantage of this configuration using a style called a cut-away pattern!. this allows the guitarist to use all of the available frets and reach some really high notes if the need arises, but more likely, those frets would be used more often on an electric guitar!. Some electric gutitars, like gibson for example, have a body shaped like an acoustic guitar!. This is often referred to as a dreadnaught body style!. Everything is the same!. The only difference is that electrics tend to have more frets than acoustic!. All acoustic-electrics do is amplify the acoustic sound!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes they play the same!. The only real difference is you have to mute the strings more on an electric or you will have your notes bleed into each other!. But all the frets and fingerings are the same!Www@QuestionHome@Com
