Question: Help!!!! All guitarists!!!!!!!!!!!?
started learning how to play the electric about 2 months ago but it broke and i had to get it fixed and it didn't come back for a month so i didn't have time to practice allot i started to play again and i know all the basic chords but my problem is that i can't seem to get the whole hand to position on a single chord, i mean, it's like i have to pay attention to every finger istead of just all the fingers hitting the chord together!. do u know what i mean!? it's like when i'm doing the e chord, its like i first put down the g string, then the a string, and then the e string, when i want to just put all three fingers down at once like guitarists do

is this just a normal beginner-thing!? i mean will i get it after a while or is that just me

help!?!?!!?!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's totally normal, don't worry!. You need to get the fingerings back into your hand memory!. Try and practice slow so you don't frustrate yourself!. If you tap each of your fingers individually on each string it WILL mess you up!. You know what you want your hands to do, but it will take time!. Mind over matter!. Good luck, stick with it, and you'll get it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

RELAX!!!! every beginner goes through this!. Just concentrate on being accurate and that the strings ring clear and crisp!. The speed will come as accuracy improves!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You'll get it after a while!. Took me a few months!.

Note that as a beginner, you'll make faster progress if you try to practice for only a few minutes at a time, but many times daily!. When I want to learn a new instrument, I put it where I'm going to pass it several times a day, and each time I pass it I must pick it up and play it for a few minutes!. Now, you don't want to do that forever--you want to extend the time a little each week, eventually cutting back to one practice of an hour or more daily!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
