Question: Need cleaning rod for flute!? !?
Alright, today I was happy to know that my mom got me a new flute case for my flute!. I was so happy seeing as my old one was just falling apart and nothing could have been done to save it!.
So here I am smiling as I'm able to put my flute away with no trouble and not having the flute case fall apart as I try to take it out!.
Anyways, I guess what my mother didn't get is a cleaning rod, I guess she either left it in the old flute case or something!. So point is, I'm out of a cleaning rod!. Two questions :
- Where can I get a new cleaning rod from!?
- What can I use as a cleaning rod for right now until I get a new one!?

Options for cleaning your flute w/out a cleaning rod:
1) Clean your flute with a pad saver if you have one!. If you don't have one you should get one anyways!.

2) Get a long stick/ wire/ straightened wire coat hanger!. Wrap it with felt, flannel, or another thick cloth!. Or wrap it around many times with a thinner cloth!. Stick your cloth-covered-stick in the flute and move it around to absorb all the moisture!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I'm not sure where you could get a new cleaning rod - the internet maybe - but for now try using a hanger made of that metal wire - know which ones I'm talking about!? Unwind it so that it's just a straight rod!. Put a cloth on the end of it and be careful it doesn't damage the flute!. Best of luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
