Question: Fellow guitar players!?
What is favorite brand of strings!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Favorite brand!. hmm!.!.!. Well since I only have the strings that came with the guitar I guess I like Fender Accessories Nickel-plated steel strings ;D I just wanted to ask you a quick question- I have had my strings on my guitar for over a month (maybe 2 or 3) but the only thing that I can find wrong with them is that they only go out of tune a little bit faster!. I don't think that they are rusting at all and I am not experienced enough to know what my strings vs!. new strings sound like!. Thanks if you can help or if you don't feel like typing it all out if you know a good website that'll be great!. Take careWww@QuestionHome@Com

Hey,
I tend to use Ernie Ball Slinky's, 10-46 guage!.
I actually did some experimentation on different string brands!.
Basically long story short, I don't really find the quality of different major string brands different enough to worry about it!.
I tried many brands including Ernie Balls, Daddarios, DR's and Cleartones (expensive!)

My conclusion was that all of the strings, even the cheaper ones, sounded great for the first week or so, then once they started rusting, they all sounded the same - dull, dirty, cheap!. Even the Cleartones ($20 for one set) were supposed to be the greatest, longest lasting strings around!. It took 3 weeks before they started sounding just like all of the other strings I had!. Instead, you could buy 4 packs of Ernie Balls or Daddarios, which is the same price, and just change your strings more often!.

So the bottom line is that the major string brands all sound decent to a certain point, then they rust up!.!.!.

Now, one difference is how the strings feel!. Even for the same guage, DR's seem heavier and harder to finger than Daddarios and Ernie Balls!. Ernie balls were designed to feel loose, therefore the name "Slinky"!. Daddarios feel nice as well!. I just put DR's again on my guitar, and I don't like them at all, especially since they're already 10 guage but feel like 11 guage :/Www@QuestionHome@Com

The strings I buy are Jazz Swing in !.010 - !.044 gauge (prod!. no!. JS-110)!. I use them on all my guitars, acoustic AND electric!. They cost a fortune, but they last forever and virtually eliminate string squeak!. I highly reommend them!.
