Yeah of course!. It would be hard but you could still do it!. It also depends on if you use a pick or not!. If you do, than use the half of your thump to hold the back of the pick!. If you don't use a pick than you would probably have to use your other fingers!. That's about all I can say!.

Hope I Helped!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi Jack:

Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead was missing the entire middle finger of his right hand and still played!. Tony Iommi, the guitar player for Black Sabbath lost the tips of his middle and ring finger on his right hand in an industrial accident when he was 17!. By the way, Tony was a left handed guitar player, so this was on his fretting hand!. He got through this by making plastic caps from soap bottles that he melted down to fit over the missing ends of his fingers!. And!.!. if your familiar with early Black Sabbath!.!.!.!. TONY ROCKS!

Hope this has helped!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

of course you can play!. there is a video on youtube of a man playing guitar with his feet! so if you do not have half a thumb, it should not be too hard!. good luck :]Www@QuestionHome@Com

if its the thumb of the hand that holds the neck then half a thumb is fine!. if its the thumb of the picking hand, thats fine because all you need to pick is your fingers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Keith Richards once said "all you need to play guitar is two fingers and an asshole" Anyways you don't really need a thumb all it does is hold the guitar, half a thumb will do fineWww@QuestionHome@Com

I rarely use a pick as I'm more of a finger picker, try fitting a thumb pick as a prosthetic, might work pretty well as an artificial thumb nail, musicians friend has them for $8 bucks a dozenWww@QuestionHome@Com

Nothing is impossible!!!
It just need hard work!!!

All my best wishes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
