also how difficult would it be because aren't you mostly using the pick

It also depends on if you use a pick or not!. If you do, than use the half of your thump to hold the back of the pick!. If you don't use a pick than you would probably have to use your other fingers!. That's about all I can say!. Tony Iommi, the guitar player for Black Sabbath lost the tips of his middle and ring finger on his right hand in an industrial accident when he was 17!. By the way, Tony was a left handed guitar player, so this was on his fretting hand!.
