I play trombone and the trombone is one of the easiest instruments to play the chromatic scale in my opinion because bringing the slide in one position raises the note a half step!.

All the chromatic scale is is a scale consisting of half-steps or semitones!.

Starting on a low Bb (guessing in 6th grade that'd most likely be where they'd have you start), the positions would be 1(Bb), 7(B), 6(C), 5(C#/Db), 4(D), 3(D#/Eb), 2(E), 1(F), 5(F#/Gb), 4(G), 3(G#/Ab), 2(A), 1(Bb)

The slashes are the enharmonic equivalents of one another!. Generally going up the scale you'd use sharps and coming down you'd use flats, but they're really the same pitch!.

Hope this helps a little at least!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well first of all is it all the chromatic scale !? If you cant really do this be honest ask your teacher how to play the note!. After that keep practicing!. I play the alto sax and I am a 9th graders good luck!. I suggest switching to the sax trust me its much better but thats just me!. Always tell the truth !Www@QuestionHome@Com
