so, i have never really played guitar!. but i really want to learn!. is it super hard to learn guitar, do you need lessons!? what about just using the internet!? im in no rush - i just want to learn the basics, and go up from there!. any advice!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

well i believe lessons are the best way to learn!.
onyl because you have a visual as well as a mentor helping to
fix your mistakes!.

however!.!.!.
i learned the basics on my own and it's not too hard!.
i just did some research on the internet!.
there's tons of places you can perscribe to
and they give video lessons!.

another alterative to the internet would be!.!.!.

Esteban has a line of guitars as well as
instructional DVD's out on the market!.
you can merely google his name and get his company!.
i did purchase one and i think it was a great starter!.
the DVD's kindof seem liek they rush!. and at first it's kindof hard to learn by!. it just takes patents as well as a LOT of rewinding of the dvd!. lol

and as far as quality of the instrument it's pretty decent and is fairly cheap!.

if ou get the package deals it comes with a guitar!. strings!. small amp!. chords!. picks!. carrying case!. chord chart!. and dvd's!.

i recomend it for starters!.

I suggest that you contact the local community school district for classes (usually within the Adult Education Division) in beginner guitar!.
Most of the districts sponsor this type of classes and there is no age
requirement (except not recommended for persons aged under 13 )!.
Most classes are listed in the catalog put out by the district and often
they list the type of guitar recommended!.

Experience with guitar teachers indicate that the best instrument to start is an acoustic guitar - either with nylon or steel strings!.
The cost is relatively low - anywhere from $100!.-200!. for a reliable beginner's instrument and many reliable web stores can sell them at times shipped free and no local tax!.

I will not recommend the internet for learning since the "teacher" may be a person of great skills in playing but poor teaching skills!.
Many so called "teachers" cannot even read the musical staff and depends heavily in TABS and the few chords they know!.

A good teacher will introduce you to read notes as well as playing melody passages along with harmony chords!.

A good little book for a beginner that also help you decide which way
to go about selecting the guitar for YOUR style is:
"How To Play The Guitar" Everything You Need To Know To Play The Guitar - by Roger Evans - cost $10!.95 at your local book store!.

Good Luck ane Enjoy Your Guitar Music!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First off, don't use websites and books that try to teach you, coz they don't! Look around for some lessons!. The first place i would considor is your school, as the tutors are usually fun and easy to communicate with!. If not, then go into your local music shop and ask if they know of anyone!.
Guitar is not super hard to learn (if you're a musical kind of person), but i would advise that you start off with electric, as it's easier for beginners!. And then when you're a bit more advanced, move on to acoustic if and when you feel you're ready!.
It's a good skill to have, and the experience is great if you've never done anything like that before!. Try it and see what you think :)

Hope I Helped :)

if you want to start online, use ultimate-guitar!.com!. it is not hard but you definitely cant give up! you should learn the basic chords before you play the songs!. it is up to you if you want to use your fingers or a pick!. i recommend a one on one seminar first before you begin onlineWww@QuestionHome@Com

The BASICs are actually pretty easy!. Once you go beyond playing regular chords is when it becomes challenging!. Green Day, Ramones etc!. that shits so easy and down syndrome kid can learn it blind folded!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

electric guitar is much easier than acousticWww@QuestionHome@Com
