Question:

This will be my second guitar - i've been looking at parker p-series guitars but there is no longer a distributor for them in england and i must be able to play a guitar before buying it - ive heard too many stories of mail order guitars going wrong and if there is no distributor in the uk it will be hard for me to get a replacement as i would be buying from left over stock!. i like parker for their looks as much as anything - i find normal shaped guitars boring but i don't like guitars that are shaped for metal music in mind, mostly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you are not into Fender or Gibson (although an SG would be good for alt rock)

I'd suggest a Paul Reed Smith guitar

this one being a semi hollow body would provide an interesting tone for alt rock, I'd guess!.
