I would like to give my 11 year old son tickets to a show for the holidays!. Broadway, Off Broadway, a great show that is totally off the beaten path!.!.!.I just want something he will like!. I thought GAZILLIONS would be perfect but I just read the reviews and everyone was saying it was for ages 6 and under!. Any suggestions would be appreciated!. Or something else altogether in NYC or LI that he and I could do together would be great!.!.!.I'm open!. Thanks! Not interested in the Radio City Christmas Show!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I taught middle school vocal music for over 30 years, and took kids every year to Broadway shows!. You can check out www!.broadway!.com - or consider Thirteen, In the Heights ( I took 100 kids last year - LOVED it!)!. Even the most innocuous shows have a few lines that may cause YOU to cringe - and they go over kids' heads ( several lines in Legally Blonde - I also took kids - Spamalot - which is funnier if you are Monty Python fan!.) Eleven is a tough age - they loathe Disney at that age ( altho Lion King is fabulous, not matter what)!. Off Broadway - Stomp, Blue Man Group - louder and more boy-oriented ( most boys to no care about Wicked - it's sister thing!. They only like it if it is the COOL show among their friends at the moment!.) Altar Boyz and Billy Elliot are ABOUT young boys!. Spring Awakening is about kids having SEX for the first time - your son would squirm!.

Anyway, www!.broadway!.com will give you a good overview!. Have fun - do the whole NYC tourist thing - store windows, deli food, skaters at Rockefeller Center, big Christmas tree - you know what's good!Www@QuestionHome@Com
