Alright, so, basically, right now I want a snare before I get a whole drum set!. Im starting to play snare in marching band and I love it, and I would like to have something to practice with(With a slightly similar sound)!.
I dont want to buy a marching snare, because they are 1)expensive, 2) I would like to add this to a drum set later!.
So, to my question-
Will this be close enough to [sounding like] a marching snare!? They say it has a 'popcorn' kind of sound!.!.!.
Thanks in advance!.

They are dirt cheap!.!.!.you just have to look around some to find a good one to buy!. The top Marching Snare brands are: Yamaha, Pearl, Lugwig & Premier!.!.!.just you so you know!.

also, this snare you listed on here is real good!. They are called "Popcorn snares" because they are so tiny and you get that LOUD "CRACK sound" from them,!.!.!.they are real loud so you know!.
The top drum brands for "Popcorn snares" are:
Porkpie, DDrum, PDP or Pacific, Orange County Drum Percussion

Most drummer use "Popcorn snares" as a side snare on the left of the kit for doing fun stuff with!. Sometimes you can really have some fun by doing a drum solo using your Main snare and your Popcorn snare!.!.!.thats stuff is real fun!

Maybe!. Since you don't want to buy a marching snare, you're not going to get something exactly similar to it!. I think these would work well for you, you mention they have a popcorn kind of sound, so they're probably the closest you're going to get to marching snare!. The most important thing it the feel of a marching snare, and since this has a popcorn sound I think it'll have good tension!.

Another option is to bring your marching snare home with you, if your band director would allow that!. Just promise not to break it!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
