Question:

ok so i play the flute in the high school marching band and today i got hit in the face by a ******* color guard and all i want to know is why are they on our field!. its not like people actually watch them, they listen to the music the band plays!. and we cant do that if the color guards hit us and break our instruments!.Im not the only person that gets hit, today one of mi best friends got hit in the mouth and started bleeding and another time the color guards almost broke one of the trombones!. Whenever we get hit by them we always get yelled at for being in the wrong spots!. for example when i got hit i am on the 50 yard line and back up for 16 counts!. the color guard that hit mi was going forward on a diagonal and i was in line with the other people in line!. the color guard director yelled at mi so now i hav 2 be to steps in front of my line to accommodate them!. They don't deserve to be on our Field!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

they aren't color guard they are "flagettes" and you're right, no one watches them!. Do you watch family guy, they have a funny episode making fun of flagettes, they are ugly cheerleaders who didn't make the squad!. Ha!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You're in marching band to match with your instruments, not to get smacked by!.!.!.flags!? I don't remember what color guards do!.
And not to get your instruments ruined!.

Wow, what a rant!. Look up some really good field bands and you'll know why the color guard are on the field!. They can look absolutely amazing if they are done right --- though I'd think they'd put them a little bit further away from the band members!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
