YOU play violin !?!? now i'm really impressed !.!.!. i thought the triangle would of been more suited to you lol!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

have you recently started!? you will find they will hurt for the first few months!. this is because the end of your fingers are forming callus's as they rub against the metal of the strings!. this is also common with guitars and cellos!. don't worry, the pain will go once the skin hardens, but you must keep playing in order for it to stay so, otherwise the pain will return!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dip your finger tips in neat vinegar!. Sounds weird I know, but honestly the smell wears off after only a few moments and it helps to build the thick skin your finger tips need!.

Regular practise (at least an hour a day) will help as well, the more you do, the thicker the skin becomes and the less it'll hurt!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If it is a pain on the pads of your fingers, where you touch the strings, then it is probably from pressing hard on the strings!. When I first started, I had finger pain there, but I eventually developed calluses that stopped that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If your fingertips hurt, you're pressing too hard on the strings; if it's your wrist, maybe you've been having a contorted hand!. (the wrist part used to happen to me every once in a while)Www@QuestionHome@Com

its just cause ur fingers aren't used to the strings yet

practice will get rid of this as u build calusses

its the same w/guitarWww@QuestionHome@Com
