It's hard to say without knowing what your voice is like!. Whatever you choose, make sure that it (a) fits comfortably in your vocal range (b) shows off your ability to sing loud and soft passages (c) is a style of song that is suitable for your voice and (d) allows you to communicate SOME kind of feeling easily!. If you can fit into these criteria, it doesn't matter what you sing - it will sound good!. Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well depending on your range here are three songs that you should listen to and consider!. I love them all! And both would pack quite a punch in an audition!!! That's what you need, to sound awesome AND stand out with an awesome song that showcases your talent! Good luck and break a leg!!! (not in a bad way, of course!.!.!. hehe)

Naughty Baby
A Uptempo Song from Crazy for You by Gershwin
Medium - Mezzo or Baritone, Young Adult (20 - 30), Well-Known, Early (1920s - 1940s)

God Help The Outcasts
A Ballad Song from Hunchback of Notre Dame by Alan Menken
Medium - Mezzo or Baritone, Teen (16 - 19), Well-Known, Contemporary (1980s - 1990s)
Notes: The middle of this song has a short ensemble section, so you would probably have to use the Bette Midler cover version if you were to use the full song as a solo in order to avoid a long instrumental section!. If you only need a short part of the song, then the film version would be fine, too!.

How Could I Ever Know
A Ballad Song from The Secret Garden by Lucy Simon
High - Soprano or Tenor, Young Adult (20 - 30); Adult (30 - 50), Well-Known, Contemporary (1980s - 1990s)
Notes: A sad piece with some difficult intervals!. Needs a trained voice!.

Depends on what musical you are trying out for!. Some directors do not like an audition song from another musical or the one they are doing!. try to find something that is good for your range and has good belting sections! that's always impressive Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't choose something from a newer movie or Disney movies!. I would look at some classic musicals - Oklahoma, Kiss me Kate, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Singing in the Rain, etc!.!.!. and choose something there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
