There's a variety of things you can sing as a second soprano (which, sometimes in musical theatre can be referenced to as mezzo-soprano!. Though, the cool thing about being a 2nd Soprano, is you can sing either parts)

You didn't let us know what TYPE of music you wanted!.

Here's a website for more 'legit singing' (think West Side Story, Carousel, Phantom, Oklahoma) http://artfuljesus!.0catch!.com/Repertoire!.!.!. (If you want to sing low songs, just go down to where it says Mezzo-Soprano)

My personal selections for legit singing would be: "I Am Going to Like It Here" (Flower Drum Song), "I Saw Him Once" (from the London version of Les Miserables), "Out of my Dreams" (Oklahoma)

If you want more belt-y, and more musical-theatre-y songs, look at some songs here: (yeah, I know it's a message board, but it has good suggestions) http://www!.broadwayworld!.com/board/readm!.!.!.

Some good songs would be: "As Long As He Needs Me" (from Oliver), "Gorgeous" (from the Apple Tree, SUCH a good song), "A Change in Me" or "Home" (from Beauty and the Beast)

Just listen to the songs, take your time, and really find one that inspires you!. Look through the songs, and listen to them on iTunes to hear what they sound like, and see if they are too high, too low, too belt-y, or too legit for you!. Whatever one you connect to the most will probably be the best one you can sing!. You will enjoy singing it, and you will like to practice to it, and listen to it to learn it!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
