ok first of all, it's a church!. now, you shouldn't be nervous, because that means, your nervous of what people will tell you!. so don't be, because you're singer for the lord!. and the best warm up is to pray and ask the lord to help you, say, "lord i'll do my best, and you do the rest!." again, if you're singing for the church don't be nervous, because it's the pride!. you're not singing for the people, you're singing for the lord!. kayssssWww@QuestionHome@Com

First off, try not to drink milk before you sing!. Milk coats your vocal chords, and can make your voice crack!.

RELAX!. Tell yourself that you were good enough to get yourself a solo, and you'll be great when you perform it!.

For warming up, sit down at a piano or keyboard if you have one!. If not, don't panic!. It's not necessary, just a suggestion!. Plunk out a scale, and sing the solfage syllables along with it!. (Do Re Mi, etc etc!.) If you know any warmups that you've used before, practice those!. I know of tons, but they're hard to explain unless you know them as well!. (:

Don't warm up TOO much, because you could wear your voice out, and you don't want that!.

But, don't panic!. Relax, tell yourself you'll do great!. If it's the crowd that makes you nervous, find a spot on the wall across from you (straight out on the other side) and stare at it the whole time!. The crowd will think that you'll looking out to them, but really, you're just singing to the wall!. It helps, believe me!. And it looks MUCH better than just staring at the ground or ceiling!.

Good luck! You'll do fine!. (:Www@QuestionHome@Com

Drink water, flex out your "doremifasolatido"'s, and do breathing exercises!. Don't forget to relax! It might be jittery at first but just sing like you normally would and you won't freak out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
