I just started learning guitar today!. When did your fingers stop hurting from playing!? After how long!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have played music until I had blood blisters on my fingers!. Callous starts to develop with in a couple of weeks!. I have also tried putting superglue on my fingertips and using sanding paper to make it smooth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

they won't stop, my love has been playing for over 8 years and at times his fingers kill him and he works with his hands all day so his fingers are very callased from work and playing, if you don't want them to hurt don't play, I know that mean, I play the viola and my fingers hurt too, it takes a long time to build up a tolerance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It might take awhile for your fingers to stop hurting (for me, it was about a month!.!.!.) but they eventually will stop hurting!. Your fingers just have to get "roughened up" from the strings and then they'll be fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is normal, and your fingers will toughen up, and stay that way as long as you continue to play!. This is just a temporary problem! Congrats on playing!Www@QuestionHome@Com
