Are you using the same sized reeds!?

I know you say that when you play the school one you play fine, but maybe it could be your ombiture!?

Hope it helps!.!. if not, just stick it out!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Is your reed cracked!. My tenor usually squeaks when it is cracked!. It could also be you mouthpiece!. Try switching it with your one at home it might help or you could get a new one!. I had a mouth piece for my tenor that would play higher until i got a new one!. A lot of times vintage saxes play better than new ones so i don't think that is the prob!. Since it is the school's sax tell you teacher about it, a pad might b leaking and then your teacher could take it into the shop!.

Try a new mouthpiece!. That's often the problem!. Or swap the mouthpiece from your school sax to your home sax to see if that fixes it before you buy a new one!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
