Question: What to learn next on the guitar!?
Okay so Ive been playing for 2 years without any lessons im not naturally gifted and I suck real bad!. I can play chords, bar chords(finally took me over a year and half to do bar chords) but I find it most easy just to do solos I love the intro solo of fade to black by metallica, it took A lot of effort to learn it but it was worth it!. but Im stuck on what to do next!. I have no clue how to read music, no clue what a scale is or anything else, no idea where to find out what they are!. The only thing I can do is play chords and read tabs!. Im bored of playing the same thing over and want to learn something knew that will really benefit me in the future So to improve what should I be learning!?
Oh and I cant afford lessons so that's out the question!.

Thanks for any help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

5!.Check out the piano and realise that if a tone =2 steps and a semitone =1 step then that means these symbols called sharps (#) come into play for the rest of the major scales!.

I like a cool site called www!.jazzguitar!.be !. There is a lifetime of free lessons there!.
It's cool to read music for sure, but way more important to understand the theory!. Really!
Learn about the "circle of fifths" and the math to pencil in all of the chord names for all twelve positions of the circle!. Each position or hour, will have major and minor keys, with their respective chord name or number!. How these numbers work is the key to playing by ear!. Transposing songs to other keys and substituting different chord shapes is great practise!. And further, study scales and arpeggios of each chord shape and their extensions while using a dreaded metronome (get one)!. Pay close attention to posture and right hand technique!. That should keep ya busy!Www@QuestionHome@Com
