Question: Opening a dance studio!?
I've danced all my life, I was a student assistant for three years and helped run the front office at the dance studio I attended!. I taught solos/duets/trios for about a year after I graduated high school, then my college schedule just got too competitive!. So I decided to focus on that!. I'll be graduating in December, though, with a major in psychology and a minor in theatre!. In November I'll be getting tested through Dance Master's of America to teach jazz and modern dance!.

My goal is to open my own dance and arts studio (and it's no immediate goal, however, I feel like I need to start the planning process now)!. I'd like to provide dance lessons to pre-teen and teen students who want to compete!. I'd also like to provide lessons surrounding acting and the theatre environment (like, make up and that sort of thing!.!.!. nothing too detailed, because I am by no means an expert, more like an introductory-type thing)!. I'd like to showcase local artists works in the front office and have them up for sale!. On the weekends I'd like to host book readings and musicians, and community events (like a Halloween Carnival and Christmas parties)!. I want to be really involved and I want to promote knowledge of the arts from many perspectives, and I'd like to incorporate my psychology knowlegde by teaching my students tolerance for people and others as well as all of the oter valuable lessons that being involved in the arts teaches!.

Now, my issue, and the question at hand is how to get started!.
Are there grants out there to support this type thing!?
How much money will it take to get up on my feet (NOTE: I know it's not going to be a small amount)!?
Any advice!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
