Question: Layout Of Stage - Lighting And Speakers For Solo Singer!?
Hi I need some help, possibly diagrams, of an optimal layout for stage lighting and speakers!.
My girlfriend is a dancer and singer, and we have our first show booked next month!. We have a good layout but i'd like some more information on where is best to set the speakers (we have two) and lighting stands (also two), also height of the speakers and lights!?

Obviously this will all change depending on room size and shape, but please be detailed in your advise!.

also the lights ,we have two stands which hold four lights, at the moment we have the standard blue, green, red, yellow!. And ive been thinking of possibly using maybe just two colours eg!. red and yellow, to reduce the show looking too Disco!? any advise or thoughts on that will also be appreciated

Make sure your speakers are in front of your microphones - that way you'll have much less problem with feedback!. In terms of lighting, I'd put the two stands on opposite sides of the room, coming in on the diagonal - that way it won't be flat and boring!.

Your lights will only look "disco" if they're flashing wildly - if you're mixing colours for each song it'll be fine, and mixing colours is much easier if you have blue, green and red (primary colours of light)!. I'd probably ditch the yellow and double up on the blue - because it's darker you get less light out of it and that makes colour mixing trickier!. Either that or leave it in open white!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
