Question: How to sing minor arpeggios!?
My musical director asked me to audition for a very selective a capella choir, and the audition consists of scales, chromatic scale, tone memorization (he'll play something random and I'll sing it back), the star spangled banner, and arpeggios!.

I'm pretty good on everything, but the arpeggios are my enemy!. I'm okay with the major arpeggios, but the minor ones always get me!. I have a good ear and can always hear my mistakes, but I can't seem to get out the perfect minor notes!. How can I get this down within a couple of weeks!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Get to a keyboard as often as you can, and play the minor arpeggios so that you can hear what it sounds like!. I'm not sure if you have had any solfege training, but that is how I learn most of my songs and exercises!. Solfege for minor arpeggios is do-me-sol-do!. Note "me" instead of "mi!." Practice the interval between do-mi and do-me several times back to back so that you can hear the difference between them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
