I'm presuming you mean an Eb major chord!.
The major is in a family of chords called "triads", because they have
three notes!. (The other triads are minor, augmented and diminished)!.
All major triads use the following tones of their respective
scales: 1st, major3rd, 5th!. In Eb, they are Eb (1st), G (major3rd)
and Bb (5th) There are 3 common chord shapes for Eb, as follows:
Half-barre on 3rd fret, 2nd string, 4th fret, and 4th string, 5th fret!.
also 1st string, 6th fret, 2nd, 3rd and 4th strings, 8th fret!.
Finally; 1st and 2nd strings, 11th fret, 3rd string, 12th fret and 4th string, 13th fret!.
The single note Eb is played in the following postions
(assumes you use correct, standard tuning!.)
6th string, 11th fret / 5th string, 6th fret / 4th string, 1st fret / 4th string,
13th fret / 3rd string, 8th fret / 2nd string, 4th fret / 1st string, 11th fret!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
