Violin is the hardest instrument to play, because it is ask to do more than any other instrument!. It carries the melody almost all of the time!. It plays more notes in all most any given piece of music!. It frequently plays 16, or more notes in one beat!.
The violin requires the use of both left and right hand doing things that are totally different!. There are no guides on the violin to help with finger placement!.
These are the reasons most think the violin is the hardest!. Personally I find it easier than piano!. I just never got the hang of good piano playing!.

It's not that hard to learn, but it does get difficult to progress!. You have to start by knowing where the notes are in accordance to where to place your fingers, then you learn vibrato- which can be hard, there are several positions (first, third, fifth, and any in between and some beyond even that,) and even more! So I guess violin can be hard!. But I think cello is probably more difficult!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I played violin for four years before I quit to take up piano!. And i personally didn't find it that difficult!. I just wasn't really into it!. Piano I found much more difficult because you're reading 2 lines at once!. But after piano i began flute!. Thus far it's been the hardest!. Because embochoure, fingering, and rythyms, plus the fact that flute is such a popular instrument, you have to be the best of the best!. otherwise violin, just know where the notes are!. But I woudn't consider it the hardest!. And this is coming from 4 years of that, then 3 of paino, and 7 of flute and 2 of guitar!. Thus far, flute is the hardest!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
