I was on Britain's got talent 2007 and 2008 so I can tell you how it works!.
After you apply for the show you you are not going to hear from them until about November when they'll send you an audition letter, because so many people apply (90000 in 2008) some time the letter come just a few days before the audition!.
and some people don't even get the first letter!.
in this audition you have to perform in front of a producer!.
if they like your act they'll phone you and ask you to perform in front of the judges!.
if you go through to the next stage you'll have to go to London, spend a night in a hotel and in the morning you go to a hall and wait for many hours then you are called in groups and told by the judges if you are in the semis or not!.

going pass the judges stage don't guaranty you to be shown on the TV!
and don't just turn up if you don't get an audition letter you are not even pass trough the security gates!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
