Question: Is there a difference between the box patterns of the Major and Minor Pentatonic scales!?
Or is it just the position of the root not within the pattern!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Assuming you're talking a major pentatonic and its related minor pentatonic, then the notes are the same, it's just the relationships that change!. For instance:

G major pentatonic G A B D E
E minor pentatonic E G A B D

It all comes down to how you use them!.!.!. the starting and ending notes of the licks, for instance!. Play a flurry of notes starting with "E" and its more likely to sound minor, for instance!. Play a series of licks that start on G and repeat B notes a lot, and you're going to hear a pretty major sound!.

So I guess you can play the same box pattern at the same position, just make sure you pay attention to what notes you start and end on, and make mental note of how it sounds, compared to the chord progression!.

You are practicing this over a chord progression, right!? If not, record one and loop it! Use your ears, and listen!.
