You can play slide guitar evenon a regular guitar without raising the action!. We use is as an effect in between riffs!. Now if you want to only play slide, than, you can get one set up with a higher action !.The disadvantage withthis setup is that you can only play slide!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think learning the regular guitar and then working into slide is the norm!. slide guitars are usually set up with the action higher than regularWww@QuestionHome@Com
