My soprano Applause UAE-5EB!. I also have the tenor Applause UAE148 Mahogany!. Both are great accustically or amped!. When I teach it's with a Lanikai LU-21C and when I travel I take the soprano Applause!. I have a tenor six string Koa Kamaka that's nice when playing in concert!. It's the only ukulele I have worth a lot of money!. I'm sure there are more expensive ones out there that have a more quality sound but these work well for me!.
I have Aquila Nylgut strings on all of them which makes a world of difference in sound!. Try some and you'll never play with anything else!. http://ukulelehunt!.com/buyaukulele/ukule!.!.!.
