Question: Should I take out my Reed when I am done playing my Clarinet!?
I just started playing the clarinet this year in 5th grade and I was just wondering do I have to put the reed back in the case!?!?!?!?!?!?!? :)

yessss!

if you don't nasty gunk will build up inside your mouth piece :/

it stays moist inside if you don't remove it once ur you're done playing so that's how build up begins!. they sell reed cases that keeps you reeds dry and free from chipping!. don't use the little case it comes in all though its ok if its temporary!.

oh and swab out your clarinet as well cauz of the moisture too!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

im a freshman in marching band, but im in colorguard right now, but ive been playing clarinet for 3 years, and clarinet is very difficult to take care of especially if you want it to play nice!.


yes!. but make sure you do it carfully so the reed doesnt break or you'll get splinters in your tongue!.[!.that hurts!.] im sure you know this, but dont keep the same reed for very long!.!.!.!.!.!.!.it's repulsing trust me!. lol
