Question: Different instruments for midi converters!?
ok so i just downloaded a midi converter named noteworthy composer because i wanted to learn how to play all my favorite songs on my alto sax
however, once i downloaded the midi file for "lean on me" and a bunch of other songs, i realized that the song was broken up into many different instrument roles
what i want to know is how to find out is how to change some options so that i can get the main melody of the song instead of the song being put into many different sections so that i can play them myselfWww@QuestionHome@Com

There should be a way to play the whole song!. There should be a view option that will simplify the view!.
All MIDI songs are comprised of these "different" instrument roles, Just like a real band!.

I use one called "Anvil Studio" you can download it for free
http://www!.anvilstudio!.com/

You can turn on and turn off the sections you don't want to hear, Mix them up or down, or even change the instrument sounds!.

My Brother in Law and I use MIDI to record songs in his recording studio!. He plays Drums and I play all guitar parts and sing!. We use MIDI tracks to provide the Bass and keyboard parts!.

You can even just use Windows media player or iTunes or Quick player to play a MIDI format file!. If the file has !.mid format just double click the file and your computer should play it without all the trouble!.

BUT, the part you want to play will be there too, so you will compete with the computer for you part!.

Use the Studio or your software to mute the part that you want to play!.
The MIDI software will have a player function on it!.
