These 2 men are so diverse in terms of style, technique, equipment and every other aspect of drumming that I don't think your question is truly relevant!. For big band and be-bop drumming, I would prefer Buddy RIch!. For studio work, small group and more commercial playing, I would rather listen to Steve Gadd!.
